We are pleased to announce the appointment of Thibault, LLL ‘16 and JD ‘17, as Director of the Law Practice Program (LPP).
The PPD offers an alternative to the traditional articling pathway in Ontario’s licensing process.
As Director, Thibault will draw on her professional and community experience to advance the mission of the LPP: to train the next generation of Francophone lawyers in Ontario through immersive, hands-on learning rooted in the realities of legal practice.
A graduate of both the Common Law and Droit Civil Sections, she is very familiar with this innovative program, as she was a candidate in 2017-2018 and served as a mentor to subsequent cohorts.
A member of the Ontario Bar since 2019, she is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Fredericton in New Brunswick.
Her professional career reflects a sustained dedication to improving access to justice in French. After beginning her career at the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO), she went on to hold various roles with the Ontario provincial government, a Canadian government agency, and the Court Challenges Program which is administered by the University of Ottawa.
She is actively engaged in her community and has served on boards of directors and executive communities for non-profit organizations such as the Canadian Mental Health Association and le Club de badminton d’Orleans.
The Faculty warmly thanks Christiane Saad, who led the program from 2017-2025 with diligence, dedication, and a genuine focus on innovation. She advanced the LPP through the integration of best practices in project management, the use of collaborative tools, the standardization of processes, and the implementation of transparent communication with her team and stakeholders. These initiatives have improved the quality of services offered and fostered a more seamless and efficient delivery.
