Discover Generative AI: A Practical Introduction to Large Language Models

In this 4-hour workshop, you will develop your ability to use generative AI for saving time, improving work results, and making your life easier while solving everyday challenges. Whether you are intimidated by AI or have never tried, have used various tools or are an adept user, this workshop will help you discover the great benefits provided by this new technology. Practical strategies will be provided, while ensuring that you are aware of current limitations.

About the workshop

Explore the use of ChatGPT, Copilot, and Perplexity AI to help you succeed in your studies and in the workplace. AI provides an outstanding opportunity to help you succeed in your projects. In this workshop, you will collaborate with your peers, taking into account best practices and limitations of AI, as you develop knowledge and skills that will enable you to better succeed in your education and career endeavours. More experienced users, will explore advanced uses and functionalities of ChatGPT to organize yourself and your tasks, solve problems and develop a personalized AI assistant.

About the Instructors

This workshop will be hosted by graduate students from the Faculty of Engineering highly experienced in machine learning and AI. These students also use generative AI to facilitate and automate their everyday tasks, from assignments to teaching, from research to communicating. They have been using and running workshops on AI for a long time.
