is an anthropologist, emeritus research director at IRD, director of studies at EHESS, and member of the 鈥淐entre d'茅tude des mouvements sociaux鈥 (CEMS - CNRS/EHESS/Inserm). His publications include L鈥櫭塼ranger qui vient (Seuil, 2018; Points, 2022) and La Peur des autres. Essai sur l鈥檌nd茅sirabilit茅 (Rivages, 2022). With Stefan Le Courant, he co-edited the volume Babels. Enqu锚te sur la condition migrante (Points, 2022).
