French-language comic book club
Come for the comics, stay for the community!

The Library is delighted to invite you to its new French-language comic book club.

Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, we will explore various themes important to the Library (feminism, the environment, accessibility, 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride, Indigenous voices, Francophonie and Black History Month) through a rich selection of graphic novels available in French. Don't miss this opportunity to broaden your horizons and take part in engaging discussions in a friendly, informal Francophone setting. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy some great reading... and, above all, meet some great people!

Practical information:

  • This activity is free and open to the entire university community.
  • This activity is presented in French only. All Francophones and Francophiles are welcome!
  • Some sessions will be held in person, and others will be held virtually. Please check the full program for details.
  • This activity is presented in a “drop-in” format. No registration is needed, and you do not need to attend all sessions.
  • You don’t need to have read all the books to participate. You are also welcome to attend if you are looking for reading suggestions!
  • All selected books can be borrowed using the Library's OMNI catalogue. Several titles are also available at the Ottawa Public Library and the Gatineau Public Library. Some titles have also been adapted into alternative formats (e.g., TV series, films, animated shorts, etc.). Please check the full program for details.
  • If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
