Oonagh Fitzgerald

Event Description

will give an interactive workshop on bringing the arts and global issues into conversation.  She developed her transdisciplinary international law-arts research-creation (TILARC) practice as a way to engage people in deeply reflecting on global challenges such as peace and security, identify and solidarity, cyborg technology, climate change and plastic pollution, though artistic expression.

We can benefit from new research practices as we seek to address a world in crisis. Interdisciplinary reflection that combines academic research with artmaking and performance facilitates embodied understanding and creative problem-solving.  Oonagh will explain this practice and answer your questions in a workshop setting, with participants having access to clay and paper for making.
