Madelaine Drohan

Event Description

Before Donald Trump in 2025, before James Madison in 1812, Benjamin Franklin had designs on Canada. Senior fellow Madelaine Drohan has written a book about how he came to have that desire, how he rationalized it, what he did, and why he failed. In this lunchtime talk she will explore how events that happened 250 years ago still shape Canada-US relations today and the lessons from history on how to resist American aggression.
