Last November, the Faculty of Law hosted the first-ever Game Jam in the University's history. Following the success of the first edition, organizers decided to do it again, but this time on campus! , Assistant Director of the Environmental Law Centre, lecturer, and doctoral student at the Faculty of Law, , professor in the Civil Law Section, and David MacDonald, pedagogical advisor with the , will be organizing a major inter-faculty and interdisciplinary Game Jam to be held next fall! All students at the University of Ottawa will be called upon to compete for top honours.
But what exactly is a Game Jam?
A Game Jam is an event during which participants must create a game, in any form, related to a subject of educational importance. In this way, the game is used as an active learning approach that places students at the centre of the experience. In this case, a theme will be provided to the participants, but it is of course kept secret for now!
