Teaching Subject Requirements- Cohort 2025

Subjects offered: English; *Dramatic Arts; *French as a Second Language; * Geography; Health and Physical Education; History; Mathematics; Music (Instrumental); Science (Biology); Science (Chemistry); *Science (Physics); *Visual Arts. Can’t be combined with other subjects with an asterisk (*) as either a first or second teaching subject in the Intermediate/Senior division.

If in doubt or if a subject is not included in the table below but you feel it is relevant, you must send an official detailed syllabus by email at [email protected] for consideration.

Experience will not be considered to satisfy a teaching subject prerequisite.

NOTE:
A course in a given subject is identified by its course code (e.g.: BIO or BIOL for Biology, GEG or GEOG for Geography). A related course is one that has a substantial content (80%) related to the subject (e.g.: Physiology –PHS –for Biology, Environmental Studies –ENST –for Geography). Related subjects must be pertinent to the given subject to be considered.

French immersion certificates or being a fluent French speaker does not replace French courses to satisfy the French as a second language teaching subject.

Didactic (DID) and pedagogical courses (PED, EDU) military training (OPME courses), continuing education cannot meet the requirements of the teaching subject and are not transferable into the program.

Cours de premier cycle suivis en français (p.ex.; théâtre, sciences, géographie, etc.); Traduction (vers le Français).
