The Faculty of Education Award for Excellence in Research was created in 2003 to recognize one professor for contributions to research in education. The award will be granted every year from 2003 to 2006 and, then once every two years afterwards, and will alternate with the Faculty of Education award for excellence in teaching. Nominations must be submitted to the Faculty’s Vice-Dean, Research, by email to [email protected] on or before May 1st.

The success of young researchers is crucial to our future. The New Researcher Award, established in 2003, is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to research. The researcher must hold a full-time tenure-track position at the University. By the deadline date for nomination or application May 1st, the applicant or nominee should have completed no more than seven years in a tenure-track position, beginning as an assistant professor.

Thesis supervisors devote a great deal of time and effort in order to supervise their students. In recognition of this important work, the Faculty of Education has established the award for thesis supervision in 2014. The aim of the award is to recognize excellence in the guidance and supervision of graduate students. The prize is offered every three years and is open to all professors currently supervising students, including full time, emeritus, adjunct and honorary professors. Nominations must be made by a colleague, a current or former student of the professor.
