The Museum of Classical Antiquities – 50th Anniversary Celebration (1975–2025)

You are invited to the Museum of Classical Antiquities’ 50th Anniversary! Join us for an evening celebration honouring the collective efforts of our volunteers, professors, students, interns, curators, and contributors who have helped the Museum thrive over the past five decades.

From its humble beginnings at 30 Stewart Street in the 1970s to its current home on the third floor of the Desmarais building, the museum has grown into a vibrant teaching and learning space. Founded by Professor Denis Brearley (1944–2017), the collection was built on a shoestring budget to support education through a diverse range of artifacts. Today, it continues to serve as a hands-on resource for students and visitors alike.

Join us in celebrating the legacy of classical antiquity! Complimentary food and wine will be served.
