Sep 24, 2025 — 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Join us for the next event in our Research Conversations Series entitled 鈥淓vidence-Based Decision-Making in Higher Education: The Role of Learning Analytics and Learning Design鈥 with Professor Bla啪enka Divjak, PhD, Professor of Mathematics and Scientific Advisor in Information Science at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Register for this event happening on September 24, 2025, at 12 PM.

Description
In higher education, both strategic planning and everyday decision-making should be grounded in solid evidence. Two key pillars supporting this are the use of learning analytics and the application of sound learning design. This is particularly important in light of today鈥檚 complex challenges: post-pandemic technology reluctance and the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into learning environments. In this presentation, Professor Bla啪enka Divjak will present research findings from the Laboratory for Learning Analytics, focusing on how learning design influences the achievement of learning outcomes and supports meaningful assessment. She will also introduce the Balanced Design Planning (BDP) concept and demonstrate the associated digital tool, which integrates design analytics and an AI-based design assistant to support evidence-based decision-making by educators.
