Dear 电车无码 alumni and friends,
It is my great pleasure to share with you the 2024鈥2025 Annual Report of the University of Ottawa Alumni Association. This past year has been one of growth, renewal, and celebration as we continue to strengthen the lifelong bond between our alumni, our Association, and our University.
A highlight of our year was the Alumni Association Awards of Excellence ceremony in May, where we honoured an exceptional group of alumni whose achievements embody the values of leadership, innovation, and service. Their accomplishments鈥攚hether in research, community impact, business, or the arts鈥攁re a source of pride for us all and a powerful reminder of the incredible influence of the 电车无码 alumni community. This year also marked the conclusion of Jacques Fr茅mont鈥檚 term as President and Vice-Chancellor. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and for the important role he played in strengthening relations between the University and the Alumni Association throughout his tenure.
Another unforgettable moment came in June at Convocation, as we welcomed thousands of new graduates into our Association. Bearing witness to the energy and excitement of these newest members inspires us to keep building a strong alumni network that will support them throughout their careers and lives.
This year also marked a turning point in our relationship with the University, as we advanced work on a new partnership agreement between the Alumni Association and 电车无码. This renewed agreement clarifies our shared priorities, strengthens collaboration, and ensures that alumni voices remain central to the University鈥檚 future. It is an important milestone that reflects our commitment to shaping a strong, modern Alumni Association that can continue to serve our members effectively. I want to acknowledge in particular the efforts of Vice-President Julien Sicard and Associate Vice-President Anne McIlroy, whose guidance and perseverance were instrumental in bringing this agreement to completion.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the members of our Governance, Finance, and Outreach Committees. Their dedication and thoughtful guidance have been essential to the success of our Association this year. They exemplify the spirit of volunteer leadership that keeps our alumni network vibrant and forward-looking. I am also deeply thankful to Anne-Sophie Ducellier and her team from Alumni Engagement for their continued support and wise counsel, which make our progress possible.
Today, we are proud to count nearly 300,000 alumni worldwide. This extraordinary milestone speaks not only to the size of our community, but also to its reach and impact. Wherever you go in the world, you are likely to meet a fellow Gee-Gee making a difference.
As we reflect on our collective successes, we also look to the future. Together with the University, we are renewing our governance structures, enhancing our programs, and creating new opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and with current students. We are building a community that is inclusive, engaged, and committed to making the world a better place. We are particularly excited about the year ahead as we embark on a new chapter of leadership with the appointment of the University鈥檚 first female President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marie-Eve Sylvestre. Her vision and leadership will help shape the future of our institution and inspire our alumni community in meaningful ways.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. Your participation strengthens our Association, enriches the student experience, and ensures that the 电车无码 legacy of excellence endures. I look forward to all we will accomplish together in the years ahead.
Warm regards,
Josephine A.L. Palumbo, BSocSc 鈥88, LLB 鈥91
