Bryce Bogie is an MD-PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is completing a PhD in Neuroscience in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, where his research investigates the neural correlates of cognitive impairment in mental health disorders. Before joining the University of Ottawa in 2019, Bryce earned an Honours Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from McMaster University.
Bryce has extensive leadership and governance experience at the University of Ottawa and nationally. He was first elected to the University of Ottawa Board of Governors in May 2023 and is now serving a second term. He also served as a member of the University of Ottawa Senate (2020鈥2021). Beyond governance, he was Editor-in-Chief of the University of Ottawa Journal of Medicine (2021鈥2025) and Graduate Fellow at the Institute for Science, Society and Policy (2023鈥2025).
He has served on several national and local boards, including the Clinician Investigator Trainee Association of Canada, the Canadian Federation of Medical Students, and the Graduate Students鈥 Association (GSA脡D). Through these roles, he has developed strong skills in relationship-building, governance, and advocacy, with a focus on advancing the quality of education, research, and institutional life for students, staff, and faculty at the University of Ottawa, while contributing to the University鈥檚 growing national and international standing.
