Purchasing a student permit

Please note that this process is to guide you into choosing the appropriate parking space for your situation. You will find a link to the online purchase software when you are through all the steps.

Parking permit availability

All parking permits for the 2025-2026 academic year are sold out. Due to high demand, our waitlist has also reached capacity and is no longer available. If you are a student, please see below alternative options.

Alternative parking and transportation

We understand that the unavailability of on-campus parking permits can be challenging. Here are some alternative options to park and to get to and from campus:

  • Public transportation: As a full-time student, your tuition includes a U-Pass, which gives you unlimited access to OC Transpo and STO services. Our campus is conveniently served by an on-site LRT station, making transit a practical and reliable option.
  • Daily visitor parking: Limited daily paid parking is available at the Brooks and Mann garages, but please be aware that these lots tend to fill up quickly each day.
  • City of Ottawa on-street parking: You may also consider on-street parking in nearby areas. Just be sure to read all signage carefully to avoid fines or restrictions.

Permits are subject to availability per lot. You might end up having to choose a different location once logged into the online purchasing system.

Evenings ()

Valid from 16:00 to 23:00, in external parking lots and in the Mann and Desmarais garages. However, the evening permit is not valid at metered parking and at 100 Marie-Curie.

Important information

Before applying online for a parking permit you must make sure to have the following information on hand:

  • Your identifier number (student number)
  • Your Info Web password
  • Your vehicle information (Make, Model and plate #)
  • A valid credit card (MasterCard or Visa) to make the payment of your parking permit

Permits are subject to availability per lot. You might end up having to choose a different location once logged into the online purchasing system.

Parking permit general information

All permits are transferable in the Mann and Desmarais garages and all outdoor lots AFTER 4pm, except on-street parking and 100 M-C.

Valid Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays.
