�糵���� alumna Bernadette Clement, LLL ’87 and LLB ‘88, made history in 2018 when she became the first Black woman in Ontario to be elected as mayor. She was also the first woman to become mayor of Cornwall. Less than three years later, in June 2021, she became the fourth Black woman appointed to the Senate of Canada.
